Character Creation Steps
(As taken from the Warhammer Core Rule book 2nd Edition):
Character Creation Overview
the character creation sequence in WFRP is as follows:
1 ) Choose your race
2 ) Generate your characteristics
3 ) Record your racial features
4 ) Determine your personal details
5 ) Roll for your starting career
6 ) Record the details of your career
7 ) Take one free advance
8 ) Start Playing WFRP!
All of these things are easily done using a character pack or just a rule book with a pencil and a notepad handy. What follows are the basic descriptions and tables that are used for character creation in official WFRP source books.
Weapon Skill (WS): This skill represents your character's skill in hand-to-hand combat, both with weapons and without.
Ballistic Skill (BS): This characteristic represents your character's skill with missile weapons, such as bows, crossbows, and pistols.

Will Power (WP): This characteristic represents your character's mental toughness and resolve.

Attacks (A): This characteristic represents the quickness of your character's attacks. The number indicates the maximum number of attacks you can make in 10 seconds.
Wounds (W): This characteristic represents your character's general vitality. It indicates how much damage your character can suffer before becoming critically injured.
Strenght Bonus (SB): This characteristic, derived from Strength, is used when inflicting damage in melee combat.
Toughness Bonus (TB): This characteristic, derived from Toughness, is used to resist damage.
Movement (M): This characteristic represents your character's base land speed.
Magic (Mag): This characteristic represents your character's magical power.
Insanity Points (IP): This characteristic represents the state of your character's sanity. PCs begin with 0 insanity points but can gain them during play as a result of horrific experiences and grievious wounds.
Fate Points (FP): This characteristic represents luck, and to a certain extent, your character's destiny. Fate points can be used to avoid certain death.
Based on your character's race, you'll roll 2d10 (roll 2 10-sided dice and add them together) and then add a pre-determined number to it per characteristic. Once each characteristic has been determined, you can use Ranald's Luck and/or Shallya's Mercy (depending on the GM's house rules) to modify up to 2 different characteristics.
